High Chief Sunnie Chukumele, President and CEO of the Global Initiative for Leadership Success (GILS), emphasized that the summit aims to attract policymakers, industry stakeholders, and financial organizations, both local and international. The event seeks to harness the potential of the creative sector, fostering economic diversification and cultural exchange.
Chukumele highlighted that the summit will feature various activities, including cultural parades, tourism and hospitality expos, an African/Black beauty pageant, and the African Descents Creative Industry Awards and Honours. These events are designed to showcase the richness of African culture and creativity, providing a unique opportunity for investors to engage with the sector’s diverse offerings.
The summit is expected to draw participation from countries with populations of African descent, both within Africa and globally. Notable attendees will include heads of state, state ministries of culture and tourism, and related agencies and parastatals.
Embassies and high commissions of African descent countries in Nigeria have also expressed their willingness to participate, signaling strong international support for the initiative.
